Summer Housing

Looking for convenient and affordable housing for the summer? There are substantial discounts in the residence halls this summer and you’ll be close to all the neighborhood activities and events. Enjoy St. Kate’s park-like grounds right outside your door.

The information below is subject to change based on future recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health's COVID guidelines.

Sign up for summer housing on the My Housing portal beginning March 1.

At this time the summer buildings will be Georgia and Morrison. Alberta may close for facilities work this summer. A decision will be made by April 1. Currently, the plan is to remain under the spring semester COVID occupancy guidelines for summer (3:1 bathroom ratio). During summer, all bedrooms are single occupancy, but the number of people per apartment and suite is subject to change.

Summer housing is available to St. Catherine University students who fit one of the criteria below:

  • Enrolled for Fall 2021 courses by May 20, 2021. Summer residents must maintain their fall enrollment to remain on campus -OR-
  • Enrolled for Spring 2021 courses on May 20, 2021 and enrolled in a standard term summer course by May 20, 2021. Summer enrollment must be maintained.

Residence Life will try to place students into their fall spaces. It depends on numerous factors like whether your fall space will be available (or maybe it's closed for maintenance work or someone currently living there is staying for summer) but our goal to assign you to your fall space. You have better chance of getting placed into your fall space if you submit your Summer Housing Agreement before May 1.

Students living on campus during Spring 2021 may stay on campus between May 22 (closing day) and June 1 with no additional fee. This is contingent upon the student agreeing to move to their summer space on the designated turn-around days assigned by the University (tentatively May 27 and 28).

Summer housing is available to St. Catherine University students who fit one of the criteria below:

  • Enrolled for Fall 2021 courses by May 20, 2021. Summer residents must maintain their fall enrollment to remain on campus -OR-

The entire summer housing fee will be applied to your student account in May. Please refer to the summer housing rates sheet for more information. Students may work out payment plans with the Student Accounts Office.
