Information Regarding Federal Student Loan Relief and Repayment
Beware of Scams
You might be contacted by companies who claim they can help with loan discharge, forgiveness, cancellation, or debt relief for a fee. Please remember you never have to pay for help with your federal student aid. Be sure to work only with the U.S. Department of Education Office of Federal Student Aid, and their loan servicers, and never reveal your personal information or account password. If you receive an email and doubt its authenticity, log into studentaid.gov to confirm your loan servicer name and contact information. And whenever possible, log into your servicer website from studentaid.gov rather than following links sent from third parties.
