On-Campus and Virtual Individual Visits
The College for Women Admission Office is available for in-person and virtual visits on campus. Get all your admission and financial aid questions answered, learn why our academic programs are top-notch, and hear about internships, collaborative research, and study abroad options available to our students.
Masks are optional for all fully vaccinated and boosted individuals in most areas of campus. St. Kate’s remains a mask-positive campus and if you feel more comfortable in a mask, please wear one. If you feel sick, please reschedule your visit.
We also offer virtual visits. Please complete the visit request form to choose from a video chat through Google Hangout or Zoom or a phone appointment.

Celebrate your admission to St. Kate’s and join us at our St. Kate’s Bound program for admitted students! At St. Kate's Bound, you’ll meet current students, engage with your future classmates, connect with a professor, talk with your counselor, hear about your next steps in the college process, and learn more about what makes life at St. Kate’s unique.

Derham
Derham was the first building on campus, with construction completed in 1905. Currently, it serves as the administrative building.
Our Lady of Victory Chapel
Our Lady of Victory Chapel was completed in 1924 and is recognized in the National Register of Historic places. Students of all faiths are welcome to the Sunday liturgy.
Coeur de Catherine
Coeur de Catherine, or the heart of Catherine, is the campus student center. Commonly referred to as the “CdC,” it hosts a variety of services, including the bookstore, dining, library, public safety, and other student services.
Butler Center
The Butler Center was built in 1994 for women in athletics. It was renovated in 2015 with new equipment and facilities, including cardio and aerobic areas, a gym, a lap pool, and a weight room.
Fontbonne
Fontbonne was originally built in 1931 as the athletic facility for campus. Now it is home to a variety of academic programs.
The O’Shaughnessy
The O’Shaughnessy opened in 1970 as a 1,800-seat auditorium. It is used for University events, including graduation and opening convocation, and public events including music, dance, and theater.
The Frey Theater
The Frey Theater is a black box theater with seating for 180 guests. This smaller campus space hosts two student-led productions a year.
Mendel
Mendel was built in 1927 to serve women in STEM fields. St. Catherine University is one of the only colleges in the Twin Cities with a cadaver lab, located on the fourth floor.
Visual Arts
The Visual Arts building was constructed in 1970 for classroom and gallery spaces. It is home to the Catherine G. Murphy Gallery, which features local women artists.
Whitby
Whitby was built in 1914 as the second building on campus. Now it hosts several healthcare programs.
Dew Drop Pond
Dew Drop Pond is a popular outdoor oasis on campus.
Stanton and Crandall Halls
Stanton and Crandall Halls are smaller residence halls, connected by an above-ground walkway. Each building hosts 50 first-year students. Crandall Hall is home to a global perspectives themed housing option.
St. Mary Hall
St. Mary Hall is the largest residence hall on campus, with 200 first-year students. There are several shared spaces, including, 24-hour computer labs, free laundry, and lounges. This hall contains honors and Emerging Scholars themed housing options.
Caecilian Hall
Caecilian Hall was built in 1921 as the music building, but currently serves as an upper-class residence hall. This hall is home to Gryffindor Tower, a Harry Potter-themed housing option.
