Writing Intensive Program

The Writing Intensive Program (WIP) consists of 74 writing intensive (WI) courses spanning across the University’s schools and colleges, from accounting to women’s studies. WIP’s goal is to ensure that each student achieves proficient writing skills by undergoing an intentional writing process of drafting, revising, editing, and learning to document sources correctly.

Scholarships and Awards for Student Writing

St. Kate's students are eligible for scholarships and writing awards, including the Bonnie Jean Kelly and Joan Kelly Award for Excellence in Creative and Scholarly Writing and the O'Leary McCarthy Scholarships for Excellence in Undergraduate Writing. Writing Center Tutoring and Assistance

The O'Neill Center for Academic Development offers tutoring and online resources to help undergraduate and graduate students with writing.
