Leso Munala, PhD (left), assistant professor of public health, recently had a journal article published titled "'If You Report Your Dad, How are You Going to Survive': Health Practitioner Perspectives on Quality of Care for Survivors of Sexual Violence and the Challenge of Family Interference" in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence.
One of the co-authors, Emily Hohenshell (right), is both a public health undergraduate and an occupational therapy master's program alumna. This faculty and student collaboration was made possible by the funding from the Assistantship Mentoring Program (AMP), through Community Work and Learning. AMP creates the space for students and mentors to engage in intellectual creativity and collaboration.
