Assistant history professor Louise Edwards-Simpson was featured in a Global Sister Report article by Kris Berggren, "History Professor Takes on Homelessness on Campus." With the help of Sister Amata Miller, the two collaborated to create the St. Catherine University Voices of Homelessness Oral History Project. They envisioned the project as an ethical, safe space to research first-hand experiences of homelessness in the St. Kate's community.
Edwards-Simpson is an assistant professor of history at St. Kate's. Her teaching and research interests include analyzing how issues of gender, race, social class and geographic region play out in American history.
