Leso Munala, PhD, assistant professor of public health, recently had a journal article published titled "The Impact of Macroeconomic Policies on Healthcare Delivery in Kenya: An Analysis of the National Sexual Violence Prevention and Care Response" in the journal International Quarterly of Community Health Education.
One of the co-authors, Emily Hohenshell, is both a public health undergraduate and an occupational therapy master's program alumna. The faculty and student collaboration was made possible through funding from the Assistantship Mentoring Program (AMP), through Community Work and Learning. AMP creates the space for students and mentors to engage in intellectual creativity and collaboration.
