COVID Community Update — November 3, 2022

Dear St. Catherine Community,

As we head into the second half of the semester, we want to thank you for your work to help keep each other healthy and safe. Our case counts have stayed low, and we hope we can continue that trend moving into the colder months. Please remember to:

  • Get your updated booster when eligible.

  • Stay home when sick.

  • Test when displaying any symptoms — even mild ones.

  • Continue to regularly wash and/or sanitize your hands, cover your cough, and avoid touching your face to help stop the spread of germs.

Flu and COVID Booster Vaccine Clinic for Students

Students, are you planning to travel and/or gather during the upcoming holidays? Now’s a great time to get your flu and/or COVID booster. Flu shots are recommended annually to protect against the specific strains anticipated for the upcoming flu season, and a single booster dose with the updated bivalent COVID-19 vaccine provides broad protection, especially against the currently circulating Omicron variants.

The Health and Wellness Clinic is hosting a Flu and COVID Booster Vaccine Clinic for students on Monday, November 7, and Thursday, November 10.

  • COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccine type: Moderna

    • If you are eligible for an updated bivalent booster, the dose does not need to be from the same manufacturer that you received your primary series or previous booster from.

    • Bring your COVID vaccination record card with you to the appointment.

  • Both the flu and COVID booster vaccines can be given at the same appointment.

  • Vaccines will be billed to insurance; if you do not have insurance, please contact the Clinic at 651.690.6714 for more information.

  • Participants will also receive a free at-home test for future use.

  • Schedule an appointment.

Vaccine Resources for Employees

While we do not have doses available on campus for employees at this time, any faculty or staff member looking to get their seasonal flu vaccine or a COVID-19 bivalent booster can find appointments at a variety of nearby locations, including:

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
