COVID Community Update — January 8, 2021

Dear St. Catherine Community,

Welcome back from winter break. Our Community Commitment remains as important now as it was in the fall, and we ask that you continue to show care, compassion, and grace toward one another. Moving into 2021, we look forward to the promise that the vaccines bring while remaining diligent in our efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19 on campus and within our community.

Please keep wearing your mask, maintaining social distance, limiting your contacts, washing your hands, and staying home when you’re sick. For those returning to campus, be sure to complete the Daily Symptom Screening (online or via the LiveSafe app) before arriving and/or leaving your residence hall room. We also ask that anyone testing positive, whether you’re on campus or remote, fill out the Diagnosis Notification Form.

On-campus Testing

Beginning January 12, COVID-19 saliva PCR tests will be available on campus for all faculty, staff, and students through the end of the month. You will be required to enter your insurance information at the time of testing; any cost not covered by your insurance will be covered by the University. To schedule a test, click here

When arriving to your appointment, please:

  • Enter the Butler Center on the east side of the building (not the main entrance)

  • Have your insurance card and/or information with you

    • Insurance will be billed for the test; anything not covered will be covered by the University

  • Bring your smartphone for use during the registration process

  • Do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes before your test

These appointments will be for COVID testing only. If you are sick or if you would like to consult with a health professional, call the Health and Wellness Clinic at 651-690-6714.

Tests will not be available to family members, however the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) continues to offer saliva tests at community sites.

Thank you for your continued partnership.

Sincerely,
