Benefit Provider Information in Brief

Retirement Planning

TIAA is the sole fund manager of our St. Catherine University Defined Contribution Retirement Plan 403(b).

Supplemental plan: Immediately available, this retirement account will let you start investing as soon as you begin employment.

Matched plan: After one year of employment, the University will match a certain percentage--please see salary reduction form below. Please note that if you have been employed by Higher Education immediately prior to the University and participated in a retirement plan where you and the employer contributed, the one year wait may be waived.

In order to participate in either plan, employees will need to complete an application with one or both of the administrators and submit a salary reduction form to Human Resources. When the employee becomes eligible for the matched plan after the one-year waiting period, the employee must complete a new Salary Reduction Form in order to receive the employer contribution.

Employee Assistance Program

This is an assistance program that is here to help you with everyday challenges of work and home as well as for more serious issues involving emotional and physical well-being. You have a multitude of options that include three crisis counseling sessions. More information can be found at www.cignabehavioral.com/cgi
