Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
Help with athletics projects and events, and connect alumni with current student athletes. Projects or events include Wildcat Weekend, the Annual Golf Tournament, alumnae games, and the Athletic Hall of Fame.
Time commitment: Can be ongoing or limited to one project.
Plan and execute 1–3 chapter events per year, in coordination with your local chapter leaders and St. Kate's chapter manager, and promote engagement in your local alumni chapter.
Time commitment: approximately 2–3 hours per month, plus 4–5 hours for each event
Connect members of your graduating class with St. Catherine University and with each other, and serve as a point person for your class by keeping your classmates up-to-date on what is happening at St. Kate’s. Leaders are encouraged to participate in fundraising volunteer projects as needed.
Time commitment: Term is five years, following election by class members at Reunion.
Corporate Chapter Leader
Create opportunities for Katies to connect with one another within a company, providing professional development and networking opportunities. Plan and execute 1–2 corporate chapter engagement opportunities per year (events, mentorship programs, virtual engagement opportunities, etc.). Encourage Katies within your company to get involved, and meet with other corporate chapter leaders to share best practices.
Time commitment: approximately 1–3 hours per month
Encourage others to volunteer and serve as a resource on the available opportunities in this program. Attend the annual volunteer summit and participate in 2–3 volunteer opportunities each year. Encourage your Katie network to volunteer!
Time commitment: 1–2 hours per month
Be a Friendship Family to an international student. The friendships that develop between families and students foster an appreciation of how others live and look at the world, and also help participants learn more about their own cultures. Please note this is not a homestay program.
Time commitment: 1–3 hours per month (flexible)
