St. Catherine University is excited to announce our 8th annual Summit, The Art and Practice of Interprofessional Health Partnerships, to take place on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre.

This year’s Summit will re-imagine what interprofessional health collaboration looks like in clinics, companies, and communities. Building innovative teams is essential to meeting the health needs of patients, customers, and all members of our community.

Keynote Speakers

Uchenna Ossai, DPT, PT, WCS, CLT

Dr. Uchenna “UC” Ossai is a sex-positive pelvic health physical therapist, sex educator and counselor. Dr. Ossai is only one of three licensed physical therapists in the world with an AASECT certification in sexuality counseling, as well as the only Black physical therapist with this specific designation. Her clinical and research interests include chronic pelvic pain for individuals of all genders, sexual dysfunction, and pelvic floor dysfunction for marginalized populations, particularly women of color and the LGBTQIA community.

Amy Herman, JD, MA

Amy Herman is a lawyer and art historian who uses works of art to systematically sharpen observation, analysis, and communication skills. By showing people how to look closely at painting, sculpture, and photography, she helps them hone their visual intelligence to recognize the most pertinent and useful information as well as recognize biases that impede decision making. Amy's "A Lesson on Looking" presentation was featured at a TED Institute event.

Riane Eisler, JD, PhD (hon)

Riane Eisler is a systems scientist, cultural historian, and attorney whose research has inspired both scholars and social activists. Her work shows how we can construct a more equitable, sustainable, less violent world based on partnership rather than domination. She pioneered the expansion of human rights theory and action to include the rights of women and children.
