More than thirty years ago, Katie McMahon stepped out on to the Riverdance stage and wowed the world with her poetic voice and beautiful spirit. Since then, she’s made Minnesota her home and given us the gift of her music.

Dubbed Minnesota’s own “Celtic Woman,” she offers one of the theater’s liveliest holiday programs, celebrating the season with a family friendly program of traditional Christmas carols, stories and lively Irish dance.

The show draws from her Celtic roots and her expansive collection of international carols. Katie leads the night, performing brand new selections and old favorites with her crystaline soprano voice and celebrated harp-playing. She is a joined by her talented band, Karen Mueller (autoharp & guitar), Mary Vanorny (fiddle) and Marc Anderson (percussion). Also featured is Katie’s own daughter, Rachel Craig and singers Ken Williams and Gabe Heller. Rounding off the night are 20 Irish Dancers from Rince na Chroí, the largest and most dynamic local Irish dance troupe in the Twin Cities.
