U.S. News lists St. Kate's among Minnesota's "Best Colleges" in latest rankings

In the U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges 2017" rankings released today, St. Catherine University is the highest ranked Minnesota institution in its category, “Best Regional Universities – Midwest.”

St. Catherine’s overall score in the 2017 rankings rose from 65 to 74 in 2016. The University’s average first year retention rate rose a point from 81 to 82 percent and the percentage of first-year students in the top 25 percent of their high school class rose from 60 percent to 68 percent. Alumnae giving held steady at 14 percent.

According to U.S. News, rankings are based on several key measures of quality, including graduation and retention rates, assessment of excellence, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, graduation rate performance and alumnae giving.

St. Catherine was also included in the U.S. News Best Colleges list of “A+ Schools for B Students.” According to U.S. News...”where spirit and hard work could make all the difference to the admissions office....be sure to display your individuality and seriousness of purpose as you apply.”
