On March 3, St. Catherine University rang in Women’s History Month with the eighth annual Give to Honor Her celebration. On this special day of giving, 199 donors honored 455 women who have inspired them, from family members and colleagues to celebrities and historical figures.
Each honored name reflects generosity in action. All Give to Honor Her gifts support the Katie Fund, which provides students with critical resources including scholarships, food access, and academic support. These resources make a life-changing education accessible and enable our students to thrive, and they have become even more important in light of recent cuts to public funding.
“Reading the stories and heartfelt tributes is such a gift,” said Elizabeth Govern ’20, director of annual giving. “Our generous donors paid homage to generations of grandmothers, mothers, professors, students, and daughters. It’s incredibly special to witness the history and power of women’s leadership — while building a bridge for the next generation of leaders, our incredible students.”
Donors were invited to share a photo or tribute message along with their gift. You can read all the tribute messages to this year’s honorees on our digital tribute board. The full list of 2026 honorees is also available on the Give to Honor Her webpage. See if you find anyone you recognize!

With her honoring donation, Amy Anderson ’96 shared, "I honor my Mom, ’62. Her compassion for others and the unwavering strength of her convictions I admire greatly. Thank you! I am proud to be a Katie with you."
St. Catherine University thanks everyone who made Give to Honor Her 2026 a success and helped pave the way for our future leaders.
