Sarah Park Dahlen to moderate "Family Matters" panel at the ALSC Virtual Institute

Sarah Park Dahlen, associate professor in the Master of Library and Information Science program, is chair of the 2020 Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) Virtual Institute task force planning committee.

The Institute, which will be held on October 2-3, 2020, is a national, intensive learning opportunity for library professionals working with children, as well as for LIS students and faculty and other stakeholders.

On Friday, October 2, Professor Dahlen will moderate a panel titled "Family Matters: Sharing Generational Love in Children’s Literature" with children's book writers Bao Phi, Kao Kalia Yang, Siman Nuurali, and Minh Lê.

The 2020 Institute has attracted over 600 registrants, making it the largest in ALSC's history.
