The article "Reducing the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic Using Meaning-Based Coping Strategies: Voices of Somali, Karen and Latinx Immigrant and Refugee Communities in the Twin Cities, Minnesota," by public health faculty Angela U. Ekwonye, PhD, Mary Hearst, PhD, and Heather Howard was published in the Journal of Immigrant & Refugee Studies. This study explored how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the Karen, Latinx, and Somali immigrants/refugees in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and how they searched and made meaning of the situation.
