Dear St. Catherine Community,
As we approach the end of spring semester, we again want to thank you for your support and patience as we continued to navigate COVID-19’s impact. We know that it hasn’t always been easy, but your efforts have been so important in helping to limit spread of the virus within our campus community.
Ramsey County’s COVID-19 community level recently moved to medium, case numbers have been rising throughout the state and we have seen an uptick in positive cases within our campus community. While masks remain optional in most non-academic areas on campus for those who are fully vaccinated and boosted, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends masking indoors if you are immunocompromised or at high risk for severe disease. Please continue to stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms — even mild ones — to avoid sharing illnesses with others. Faculty members will work with students who need to miss class or exam sessions due to illness.
For those planning to participate in any upcoming commencement festivities, please remember that masking remains required in the O’Shaughnessy Auditorium for all attendees (regardless of vaccination status), with the following exceptions:
Masks will be optional for individuals seated on stage during the ceremonies
Graduates may remove their mask when crossing the stage and taking their photo; masks must be worn again when they return to their seat.
Information about COVID-19 policies and procedures for summer session will be provided in the coming weeks. If you will be on campus from June to August, please continue to watch your email for updates.
Understanding that situations can change rapidly, please remember that policies and procedures are subject to change based on campus and community data and public health recommendations. We continue to monitor the latest information and will provide updates as needed.
