Changes to Testing Availability — September 15, 2022

Dear St. Catherine Community,

We hope the start of the semester is off to a good start for everyone. While we have seen a very slight increase in cases as our numbers on campus grew with the start of fall classes, our numbers have remained generally low and there have been no clusters to report. Please continue to stay home when feeling sick, and get tested if you have symptoms.

Testing Availability

Due to low demand, the on-campus PCR testing offered by Curative will be ending on Friday, September 23, 2022. The Health & Wellness Clinic will continue to provide testing for students by appointment, and a variety of off-campus resources remain available for anyone in need of a COVID test, including:

Testing for Students

  • The Health & Wellness Clinic will offer appointments to students who are symptomatic or looking for testing after being deemed a close contact (recommended on day six post-exposure). These appointments, which include an office visit with a provider, can be scheduled via the patient portal, and will be billed to insurance.
  • Minnesota’s community testing locations offer free saliva PCR and rapid testing. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, click here.
  • At-home rapid tests are available for free from the state (up to 12 per household while supplies last) and for purchase at local pharmacies.
  • Primary care providers, pharmacies and other locations also offer testing. More information

Testing for Faculty and Staff

We continue to monitor the latest information and will provide updates as necessary. Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
