When she became the eleventh president of St. Catherine University in 2016, ReBecca Koenig Roloff '76 joined a proud tradition of women leaders using their own education and passion to expand opportunities for younger generations. As president, Roloff has overseen a time of many changes. She has chartered the University through an unprecedented pandemic, the consolidation of two campuses into one unified campus in St. Paul, the reaffirmation of the University’s accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, the implementation of a 10-year strategic plan, and the record-setting LEAD AND INFLUENCE: The Campaign for the Next Level of Excellence — among other St. Catherine community accomplishments.
Before becoming University president, Roloff served as president and chief executive officer of the YWCA of Minneapolis, was senior vice president at American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise), held leadership positions at Pillsbury Company, and was a grain merchant for Cargill in Texas.
As she she prepares to retire in 2024, her legacy of leadership will remain indelible at the University — and serve as a powerful example of the impact of a St. Catherine education. “The life afforded to me because of my education at St. Kate’s drives all decisions and choices I make as president so that others have the same chance I did,” said Roloff.
