For as long as St. Catherine University has been around, women have been leading us forward.
Our paths are illuminated by those who came before us — the women who raised us, the women who taught us, the women who showed us what is possible. They are our friends, our family members, our mentors, our colleagues, and our inspiration.
On Tuesday, March 3, we’ll come together to recognize these women during our eighth annual Give to Honor Her. This day is an opportunity to thank a woman who inspires you by making a gift in her honor to the Katie Fund. All gifts support our students through critical scholarships, food access, and emergency aid — needs that have become even more urgent in light of recent public funding cuts.

In past years, Give to Honor Her donors have honored colleagues, student leaders, coaches, and mentors. Last year, D’Ann Urbaniak Lesch, assistant vice president for engaged learning and employer and community partnerships, wrote in her digital tribute, "I give to honor Mai Yer, an amazing woman who I have had the great joy of knowing since she was 8 years old. She inspires me and I am thankful for her every day. (AND now she is a St. Kate's MBA grad.)”
Along with your gift, you’re invited to share a photo or note of gratitude on our digital tribute board. The names of women honored will also be featured in the spring St. Catherine University Magazine and in a digital tribute celebrating Women’s History Month.
All gifts on Give to Honor Her pay it forward for the next generation of leaders: our students.
“The scholarships and resources from the Katie Fund have allowed me to fully engage in leadership and community service across campus,” shared Ella Brefo ’28, who is double majoring in international studies and women and international development. “Through these opportunities, I have grown academically and professionally, and these experiences have strengthened my passion for advocacy, equity, and my long-term goal of becoming a global leader.”
