Alumni reconnect at fun-filled Reunion weekend

The annual celebration took place June 5–7 on St. Kate’s campus.

On June 5–7, nearly 200 St. Catherine University alumni returned to campus for the 2026 Reunion weekend. Katies from across generations reconnected with friends, reminisced on their time at St. Kate’s, and created new memories to carry forward.

This year’s Reunion celebrated graduates of class years ending in 1 and 6. The Class of 1976 celebrated their 50-year Reunion with a special pinning ceremony where they received gold jubilee pins, while the Class of 2001 received silver jubilee pins for their 25-year Reunion.

The weekend kicked off Friday evening with remarks from President Marcheta P. Evans, PhD, who reflected on the University’s continued work educating future women leaders. Then celebrations got underway with a decades-themed dance, complete with a live DJ spinning tunes from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and beyond — including plenty of songs alumni might have remembered from their college days. Attendees also got into the spirit by dressing up in their favorite fashion trends of years past.

Throughout the weekend, alumni got reacquainted with the St. Kate’s campus through tours led by current students and caught up with classmates and friends at class parties. Some alums exercised their artistic skills by taking part in paint and sip, flower arranging, and needle felting workshops, while others relaxed with the classic 1986 movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. On a warm afternoon, everyone enjoyed cooling off with sweet treats from an ice cream truck. The weekend wrapped up Sunday morning with a Mass in Our Lady of Victory Chapel.

“There is something truly magical being with alumni at Reunion weekend,” said Laura Greenlee-Karp, director of Alumni Relations. “Katies are powerful people, but they are also some of the most warm and compassionate people I have ever met. From every hand squeeze, hug, laugh, and moment shared, I will truly treasure spending the last three days with all of you.”

For three days, campus was filled with living, breathing reminders of the power of a St. Kate’s education as it welcomed back former students, current alumni, and forever Katies.
