SCISO's Annual International Night is a vibrant celebration of the diverse cultures represented within the St. Catherine University community. This beloved campus tradition brings students, faculty, staff and community members together for an evening of cultural appreciation, connection, and global learning.
The event will feature nine cultural performances representing traditions from around the world, including CAAM Chinese Dance Theatre, IROOTS, Wattanak Dance Troupe, Brasil with S, Capoeira Minnesota, Irish Dance by St.Kate's alumni Katie Knox, Greek performance, samba dance, and Alvaro Henrique, classical guitarist from Brasília. Each performance highlights unique cultural traditions through music and movement.
Guests will also enjoy international cuisine from local restaurants, including Mi-Sant, Cheng Heng, Hoban Korean Restaurant, Taste of Scandinavia, and Afro Deli. Attendees can also participate in country-themed raffle baskets inspired by cultures such as Ghana, Japan, India, the Netherlands, and Brazil!
Proceeds from the raffle fundraiser will support SCISO's future programing and cultural events, helping the organization continue hosting International Night and other initiatives that celebrate global cultures at St. Kate's.
International Night creates a welcoming space where cultures are shared, traditions are celebrated and the St. Kate's community can come together to experience the world in one night.
