Fall 2020 New Student Orientation — Transfer Students

Students laugh and talk at St. Kate's orientation event for transfer students
Orientation Details

This program will take place in a virtual format. You will receive specific details about joining the live session in August. You will also have access to an online orientation, which is hosted in Brightspace D2L. To find the online orientation, look for the "Welcome to St. Kate's" course.

Accessing the online orientation

You will have the opportunity to connect with your peers and Orientation Leaders, learn about important University policies and procedures, become familiar with campus resources, and learn more about what to expect in their TRW course. Watch your email for more details in August.

Connect with Fellow Transfer Students

Hear about the experience of transferring to St. Kate’s from other transfer students. They’ll share how they got connected to campus and provide advice for navigating the transfer experience.

Prepare to Take 'The Reflective Woman' Course

During orientation, you will have an opportunity to learn more about The Reflective Woman, a required course for College for Women students. Please make sure to complete the readings below before orientation.

Benefits of Participating

Orientation is the best way to learn about the resources available to you as a St. Kate’s student and prepare to start your program. New students appreciate the opportunity to connect with University staff and faculty — it makes it easier to reach out when you need them. Come prepared with your questions as this is your chance to make sure you have all of the answers you need to start the semester off right.
