Cara Bowling OTR, MOT

Cara Bowling is an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy (MAOT) Bridge Program at St. Kate’s, where she serves as a lab instructor at the program’s Dallas location. She is an occupational therapist at Children’s Language Development Center in Plano, Texas, where she specializes in outpatient pediatric practice. She has practiced occupational therapy since 2012, with a primary clinical focus on sensory integration, praxis, and relationship-based approaches to supporting children’s development. Cara is certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) and holds a DIR® Basic Certificate, with training in the DIRFloortime® model. Her clinical interests center on understanding how sensory processing, praxis, and individual developmental differences influence a child’s participation and engagement in everyday life. Cara earned both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. She brings more than a decade of pediatric clinical experience to her work with occupational therapy students.
