Dr. Beth Meighan-Palanivel, DNP, RN, HNB-BC, NC-BC, is an Associate Professor of Nursing at St. Catherine University with 18 years of nursing experience and over a decade in higher education. A board-certified Holistic Nurse and Nurse Coach, she integrates holistic nursing principles and strengths-based coaching into teaching, mentoring, and student support. In addition to teaching across didactic, lab, clinical, and simulation settings, Dr. Meighan-Palanivel serves as a Student Support Coach for the pre-licensure BSN program and is the Co-Founder and Co-Coordinator of the grant-funded Student Opportunity Hub, promoting student engagement, retention, and success. Her scholarship focuses on holistic nursing education, nurse coaching, and innovative approaches to supporting diverse learners. She serves as the AHNCC site contact for St. Catherine University's endorsed Holistic Nursing program and has presented her work at regional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Meighan-Palanivel is the recipient of the Patricia O'Connor Myser Excellence in Faculty Mentoring Award, the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty, and multiple Excellence in Teaching and Advising Awards. She is also a Certified Clinical Aromatherapy Practitioner (CCAP), Healing Touch Level IV practitioner, Reiki Master, and Therapeutic Touch practitioner.
