- Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy (MAOT) Bridge Program
Alexis Mitchell is an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy (MAOT) Bridge Program at St. Kate’s, where she serves as a lab instructor at the program’s Dallas location. She is a licensed and registered occupational therapist who earned her Master of Occupational Therapy degree in 2021. Over the past five years, she has built a diverse clinical background by working full-time in acute care, where she helps patients regain independence and safely transition through recovery. In addition to her acute care role, she has spent the last four years providing PRN services at an outpatient pediatric clinic, supporting children and their families in achieving meaningful developmental goals. She regularly floats to an inpatient rehabilitation facility, expanding her experience with intensive habilitation, and recently began working PRN as a school-based occupational therapist. These experiences across her lifespan have strengthened her clinical skills, adaptability, and passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based, client-centered care in a variety of settings.
