Explore Religion and Spirituality in a Welcoming Environment

You’ll develop strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills by discussing how religious history and thought applies to contemporary life. St. Kate’s theology program welcomes all, regardless of religious background. You will study within the Judeo-Christian framework in particular, but not exclusively.

Many classes are cross-listed with women’s studies, such as Women, Gender, and the Bible, Women in American Christianity, and Human Sexuality: Theological and Spiritual Explorations.

Our faculty are scholars of the highest caliber with expertise in ethics, poetry, liberationist readings of the Bible, Second Temple Judaism, ecological theology, and modern women’s spirituality.
