We hope the semester has started off well. We appreciate your commitment to keeping our community healthy. As you settle into your schedule, we wanted to provide a few COVID-19-related updates and reminders.
Testing for COVID-19 is available by appointment in the Health and Wellness Clinic for students, faculty, and staff. We are currently testing those who are symptomatic, as well as asymptomatic individuals who have been identified as close contacts. Please call 651-690-6714 to schedule an appointment.
With flu season quickly approaching, now is the time to get your flu shot. The CDC recommends annual vaccination for everyone over six months old, and with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic this guidance is even more important. Decreasing the number and severity of flu cases will help health care systems from becoming overwhelmed.
St. Kate’s will be providing free flu shots to faculty and staff working on campus one or more days a week, as well as students and their families living in the Residence Halls and those attending in-person classes. Additional details will be provided soon. For those learning and working remotely, we encourage you to get your vaccine, as well.
Safely Returning to Campus Resources
For those on campus, please remember the importance of social distancing. This includes:
Leaving furniture as placed in hallways, dining areas, and classrooms. Seating areas have been designed and furniture placed based on current health and safety guidelines.
Allowing plenty of space between yourself and others on sidewalks, in hallways, and while navigating places like the bookstore.
Adding to the Safely Returning to Campus video we shared in our last Update, we have a few additional videos to help you better understand the new policies and procedures on campus:
Beginning this weekend, the hours for CdC will be:
Sunday–Friday: 7 a.m.–10 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.–7 p.m.
Updated building and office hours can always be found at: stkate.edu/coronavirus-info/hours-services.
