St. Catherine alumna returns to lead division

Angela M. Riley '84 has been named vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) for St. Catherine University. She will report to President Becky Roloff '76 and will serve as treasurer of the University Corporation.

A 1984 graduate of St. Catherine University, Riley brings a breadth of financial acumen, treasury experience and knowledge, as well as experience in multiple functional areas.

“Angela distinguished herself with her leadership and communication skills, her strength and level of understanding of diversity issues,” said Roloff. “As important, her kindness and respect for everyone she encounters will help her become a treasured member of the University community.”

As the vice president and CFO, Riley will hold primary oversight responsibility for the University’s financial planning and analysis, investment portfolio, financial services relationships and transactions, and legal affairs. Additionally, this position includes several administrative areas critical to University success.

Riley previously served as vice president and CFO for Imperial Plastics, CFO for Northern Contours, professional company director at several organizations in Australia and senior director of finance at Ball Corporation in Hong Kong and Colorado. Early in her career, she worked for Dain Rauscher, Honeywell and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Riley holds an accounting degree from St. Catherine University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She is a founding member of St. Kate’s Accounting and Finance Advisory Board. She currently serves as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and is president of Financial Executives International, Twin Cities.
