Business faculty tapped for discussions on working women

Two St. Catherine University professors are featured panelists at two upcoming events:

Conversations on Tap: “Working Women Fight for Equality”

Tuesday, Oct. 13, 5:30–7 p.m.

Lyn-Lake Brewery

Joann Bangs, dean of the School of Business and Professional Studies, will be part of a panel discussion focusing on the successes and challenges faced by working women in Minnesota. She will share insights and research from The Minnesota Census of Women in Corporate Leadership, the annual study she conducts with Rebecca Hawthorne, director of St. Kate’s Master of Arts in Organizational Program.

National Association of Women MBAs: “Female Executive Leader Best Practices”

Tuesday, Oct. 13, 6-7:30 p.m.

202 Opus Hall, University of St. Thomas

Michelle Wieser, director of St. Kate’s Master of Business Administration, will speak at the National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter’s panel discussion. She is one of five panelists who will address a series of questions, including: What can we do about the gender disparity in senior executive ranks? How should female MBAs tailor their career to best navigate the leadership landscape?
