The St. Kate's Humanities departments invite you to join a lunchtime panel with five outstanding Katie graduates!

Hear panelists relate their post-graduation career journeys, and engage in roundtable discussions with each panelists afterwards.

A light lunch will be served.

Panelists

  • Anna Decker '09
    History & French Majors, Honors Program
    *Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Delta Phi

    Anna Decker (Kirchner) at first intended to major in business, but decided on a dual major in history and French. She was involved in the Women's Choir, French Club, and History Club, among other activities. Since leaving school, Anna has worked in a variety of positions in a variety of Minnesota nonprofits. She earned her MBA and Master of Nonprofit Management from Hamline University in 2014, and is currently employed with the Minnesota Society of CPAs as a conference coordinator.
  • Sherri Stella, B.A.'11 & M.A. Theology '15
    B.A. Theology with a minor in Philosophy | M.A. with a certificate in Pastoral Ministry
    *Mary Mulheron Ministry Award, National Honor Society for Theology and Religious Studies, Cum Laude

    After receiving her Master of Arts in Theology in 2015, Sherri completed a one-year Clinical Pastoral Education residency at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Sherri is the Director of Pastoral Care at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church in Eagan and a chaplain at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
  • Gina Wholecheese '04
    English Major, Theology Minor
    *Phi Beta Kappa with honors
    Since graduating from St. Kate's, Gina moved to Alaska and enrolled in the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Master of Education program. Living and teaching in a remote village, she took the opportunity to open a gas station and convenience store with her family once their farmland was purchased by the state. She has intermittently taught as an Occupation Exploration teacher and is currently in the process of opening a butcher shop.
  • Heather Kolnick '14
    Art History & French Majors
    *Phi Beta Kappa, Thomas More award
    Heather has worked for Hennepin County as a planning analyst since her graduation from St. Kate's, a position which involves extracting, analyzing, and writing reports from data that comes form the Hennepin County-operated public health clinics. While she says that her day-to-day work does not relate closely to her undergraduate areas of study, she still uses the critical thinking skills she developed from her education in all of her work and life.
  • Lauren Olson '14
    English Major & Secondary Education (Communication, Literature, Arts) Major
    *Sigma Tau Delta, Academic Deans List each semester
    After graduating from St. Kate's, Lauren taught English overseas in South Korea and worked in the Minneapolis Public Schools after her return to the States. She has edited and published three books of student poetry from St. Paul Public Schools. Lauren is now employed by the St. Paul Public School System and is also a tutor in Edina.
