11:45 AM - 1:15 PM

CdC 210 – Center for Mission, Coeur de Catherine

The Mission Chairs present a book discussion of Swallow the Fish with the author, Dr. Gabrielle Civil, on Tuesday, April 18 in the Center for Mission.

Dr. Civil writes, "The aim of my work is to open up space." As a performance artist, poet, and professor at St. Kate's from 2000–2013, she brings to the discussion a deep understanding and appreciation of the St. Kate's mission. Swallow the Fish advocates for the right to define the self, and the right for that definition to evolve through discovery.

Staff and faculty who register for the discussion will receive a free copy of Swallow the Fish. To reserve your place in the discussion and your copy of the book, email Your book will be available for pick-up in the Center for Misson (CdC 210) on the St. Paul Campus between March 27 and April 10.
