Leaders in Business Summer Workshop

Harness Your Potential to Lead and Influence

This free, four-day summer workshop empowers high school students to see themselves as leaders and learn from women in professional business careers while experiencing life at
St. Catherine University’s St. Paul campus.

Find Your Voice

Over the course of four days, St. Kate’s School of Business faculty will help you realize your leadership style, so that you can adapt with different teams, environments, and initiatives.

By the end of the program, you’ll gain a greater sense of the impact you can make as a leader in your home, community, and future career. You’ll also walk away with:

  • An understanding of careers in business, including marketing, finance, business administration, and accounting
  • Presentation skills
  • The ability to build a team and collaborate within it
  • Increased self-awareness and confidence
  • A functional application of sustainability and social justice in business

See a Business Career in Action

Visit a fortune 500 company where you’ll meet women leading within their workplace and learn about how their roles function day-to-day.

You’ll also have the opportunity to tackle real-life issues that organizations face during your final project. Participants will leverage the skills they’ve developed to pitch solutions to a simulated board of directors.

The culmination of your data analysis, negotiation skills, and business management techniques will shine through this presentation that’s yours to keep for your resume.

Get a Glimpse of Life on Campus

Work with a current student from the St. Kate’s business program throughout the workshop. They will act as your mentor, answering any questions you have about campus life or St. Catherine University’s business program

  • Business Management
  • Business-to-Business Sales
  • Business Administration

The workshop will also be taught by St. Kate’s professors — not teacher assistants — in an intimate group setting that reflects the close, personalized attention students get throughout their education here.
