Every day at St. Catherine University, we have the unique opportunity to do work that touches lives and impacts our community and world. It is an amazing endeavor, and one that we are blessed to do to with the support of donors like you who are deeply committed to our mission of educating women to lead and influence.
Tatyana Beck ‘20
Tatyana Beck '20 is a 2018 recipient of the Phillips Scholarship, which grants students $16,500 to support their academics and commitment to community service projects. Her proposal, “Empowered to Move Forward,” includes a partnership with Families Moving Forward (FMF), a Minneapolis organization that provides temporary housing for homeless families and helps them transition into permanent housing.
Erin Nelsen ‘20
Erin Nelsen is a 2018 recipient of a Principle Community Scholars award, which offers a scholarship as well as the opportunity to lead a community-engaged project. Her project, “Leading Toget[her],” will address the lack of diversity in politics by providing a database of helpful resources to make opportunities more accessible for underrepresented populations within the field.
Alynie Walter ‘19
Alynie Walter ’19 would ultimately love to dedicate the rest of her life to helping others pursue education, and her dream is to create a scholarship fund for student parents. After all, she is one. Thanks to St. Kate’s Access and Success, a unique program dedicated to supporting students with children, Walter has been able to juggle family responsibilities while pursuing her education.
