Amy M. Shaw

Systems Librarian/Music Liaison; Associate Professor, Library

<div class="line" id="line-1">My research and creative activity reflect my two areas of responsibility at the St. Catherine University Library: systems librarianship and music. As our Systems Librarian, I serve as the local administrator for our Alma and Primo systems from ExLibris. I also manage our proxy server, link resolver, and access to many of our electronic resources. As our Music Librarian, I develop the library’s music collection and serve as the liaison to the Music Department. In the field of music, I am particularly interested in the history of musical instruments and in the traditional music of the Nordic countries, Ireland, Scotland, and Canada. I perform traditional music on an 8-key wooden flute built by Peter Noy, a Canadian flutemaker now working in Seattle.</div>
