Microaggressions are daily verbal and nonverbal insults of slights, whether intentional or not, that target a person’s marginalized identity. Each of us has experienced microaggressions at different rates. Microaggressions are one of the most common reasons a person with marginalized identities checks out of work or leaves their place of employment. Join us to explore ways to interrupt and respond to microaggressions. In this workshop, participants will:

  • explore different types of microaggressions and their impacts
  • unpack intent vs impact and cultural humility
  • explore dispositions, mindsets, and strategies to interrupt and respond to microaggressions and bias-based mistreatment when they happen
