Dr. Kristine West is chair of the St. Catherine University Economics and Political Science department and director of the Minnesota Center for Diversity in Economics. Her research focuses on the economics of education and program evaluation. In this virtual session she will discuss the economic shock caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Surges in unemployment and inequality as well as drastic shifts in both supply and demand patterns across just about every economic sector have challenged economists and policy makers in unprecedented ways.
