Campus Hours

For the duration of both the governor’s stay at home order and the Easter holiday, all campus buildings, including Derham and CdC, will be closed to visitors and will require card access for entry. This will be effective through Tuesday, April 14 at 6 a.m.

Campus and Student Services Until Further Notice

  • Academic Advising has professional advisors available. Please email academicadvising@stkate.edu and continue to use the Student Success portal.
  • Access and Success staff are connected and fully equipped to support students remotely. Contact the program at accessandsuccess@stkate.edu to find out what help might be available. 
  • The Bookstore is closed, but available online.   
  • The Butler Center is closed.
  • Career Development (askcareer@stkate.edu) offers virtual 30-minute appointments from 8-4:30 p.m. Students who are not able to make the 8-4:30 p.m. time are welcomed to schedule evening appointments. We highly encourage students to use Career Development services now more than ever, and we'll be happy to work around their schedules.
  • The Catherine G. Murphy Gallery's physical space will be closed, but upcoming exhibitions will move online and be available at the Gallery website.
  • The Center for Spirituality and Social Justice is available by email, spiritandjustice@stkate.edu. We will respond as soon as possible.
  • Coeur de Catherine will be open daily, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • The Counseling Center — In-person counseling sessions have been suspended, but 20 to 30 minute wellness consultations are available by telephone. We anticipate offering wellness consultations through a HIPAA compliant video platform starting the week of March 30. Appointments can be requested through the online request form. Students can contact the center (non-urgent messages) at 651-690-6805 or counselingcenter@stkate.edu. Our staff is working remotely at this time. We are checking messages multiple times per day.
    • To access the after-hours crisis counseling line, students should call the St. Kate’s Counseling Center front desk at 651-690-6805 and press 1 at the prompt to be connected to a counselor.
  • Dining is open daily, 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. and 3–5 p.m.
  • Disability Services is available by email at oneill_center@stkate.edu , and will continue to support students with accommodations and other needs.
  • Document Center is open 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
  • The Early Childhood Center is closed.
  • Financial Aid staff are working remotely and students and families should email finaid@stkate.edu for assistance.
  • The St. Kate’s food shelf will be closed next week because the Carondelet Center, where it is housed, is closed. We do not know for sure when it will reopen.
  • Global Studies staff are connected and fully equipped to support students remotely. Students can reach us via email (globalstudies@stkate.edu) and through virtual or over-the-phone advising sessions (Monday through Friday). We'll be sharing FAQ soon, and are creating videos with information about J-term 2021 courses and some travel basics.
  • The Health and Wellness Clinic will now provide telehealth appointments for mental health and COVID-19 consultations. Please visit the patient portal to schedule your appointment. Note, we are only scheduling mental health and potential COVID-19 patients at this time. Please seek outside care for all other types of appointments.
  • The Library is physically closed, but most of our library resources (eBooks, articles, streaming video, guides, etc) are available 24/7 via the library website using your St. Kate’s login. Librarians are also available via email, chat, Google Hangout, text (651-304-6535), or phone (651-690-8737) to answer your questions. Complete information is available on the library’s website.
  • The Mailroom is open 10 a.m.–3 p.m. All student mail and packages currently in Mailing Services will be forwarded to the permanent address on file with the Office of the Registrar. Mail for students allowed to stay on campus will be put in your mailbox. We will start forwarding on April 1, 2020.
    • Please have any items ordered online sent directly to your home address. Any future items received via USPS first class or priority class will be forwarded. Items from other carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.) will be returned to the sender unless arrangements are made to pay the postage.

  • The Money Management office is available Tuesday–Friday 9:30 a.m.– 4 p.m. for virtual personalized scholarship search, budgeting, and credit education appointments. Additional services and webinars through Lutheran Social Service Financial Counseling also available by calling 1-888-577-2227. Contact moneymentors@stkate.edu with questions.
  • The Multicultural and International Programs and Services (MIPS) staff are working remotely and can be reached at MIPS@stkate.edu. In addition, our Peer Mentors are available to support their mentees—feel free to reach out!
  • The O'Neill Center will offer online tutoring in writing/reading, math/science and CFA health programs. Instructions are provided on the O'Neill Center webpage. There will be no onsite testing during this period.
  • The staff in the Office of the Registrar are available to answer questions and meet needs. Specific service and staff contact information is available on the Registrar webpage. Email (registrar@stkate.edu) is the most efficient mode of communication.
  • Student Center and Activities staff are working remotely and can be reached at studentcenter@stkate.edu. We are happy to set up a Google Hangouts meeting, chat, or phone conversation.
    • Student clubs and organizations, we are here to help and please watch for Katie Club Connections newsletters and important email messages.
    • SEEK will be sharing virtual engagement opportunities via social media.
    • Student governing boards are accessible through their email, Student Senate (CFW students) at senate@stkate.edu, College for Adult Student Advisory Board (CFA students) cfastudentboard@stkate.edu, and Graduate Student Advisory Board (graduate students) gsab@stkate.edu.
  • University Events and Services — All student events, through May 17, are canceled to promote healthy social distancing protocols. We encourage web conference (e.g. Google Hangouts) to maintain student student groups and clubs. As you can anticipate, it is highly unlikely that we will be able to hold public commencement ceremonies as planned, however we are not communicating that decision yet in hopes that the situation of large gatherings may change by the end of May. We will let you know when the guidelines become more clear.
