Campus Hours for Spring Break, March 16–29

Minneapolis Campus 

  • The campus will be open 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. March 16-20 and March 23-27. 

  • The campus will be closed March 21-22 and March 28-29 (weekends).

St. Paul Campus

The University will be conducting a deep clean of academic buildings on the St. Paul campus during the break. As such, all academic buildings will be locked except Derham and Coeur de Catherine. Faculty and staff may access these buildings using their keycards throughout the break.

Coeur de Catherine will be open with reduced hours for services as follows: 

  • CdC building hours: 7 a.m.- 6 p.m.

  • Bookstore: Closed

  • Post office: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

  • Dining Room: daily, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.

  • Dining Grab and Go: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

  • Pulse and C-store: Closed

  • Library hours

  • The Tech Hub physical office will be closed during the break. Support will be provided remotely and by phone. 

Campus and Student Services Until Further Notice

  • The St. Kate’s food shelf will be closed next week because the Carondelet Center, where it is housed, is closed. We do not know for sure when it will reopen.

  • University Events and Services - All student events, through May 17, are canceled to promote healthy social distancing protocols. We encourage web conference (e.g. Google Hangouts) to maintain student student groups and clubs. As you can anticipate, it is highly unlikely that we will be able to hold public commencement ceremonies as planned, however we are not communicating that decision yet in hopes that the situation of large gatherings may change by the end of May. We will let you know when the guidelines become more clear.

  • The Counseling Center ( — Counselors are providing phone check-ins for any scheduled clients over the next few weeks. The Counseling Center is taking appointments through their online request form:  Schedule your appointment online.Telephone and/or video sessions will be available, but in-person sessions have been suspended. To access ProtoCall counselors after hours, students should call the St. Kate’s Counseling Center main phone line at (651) 690-6805 and press #1 to be connected to a counselor.

  • The Health and Wellness Clinic is working on capacity for online and virtual appointments, but does not have physical hours for the spring semester. The clinic staff is working to ensure students have access to needed medications and are refilling prescriptions. Please contact the clinic at for questions and requests for refills.  

  • Disability Services is available by email at , and will continue to support students with accommodations and other needs. 

  • Financial Aid staff are working remotely and students and families should email for assistance.

  • The Libraries will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through this Friday, March 20. Starting Saturday, March 21, the libraries will suspend physical services. Online services and resources will remain available. Each academic program has a professional librarian who is a subject/discipline expert who can serve students and faculty remotely.   • Academic Advising has professional advisors available. Please email and continue to use the Student Success portal. 

  • The staff in the Office of the Registrar are available to answer questions and meet needs. Specific service and staff contact information is available on the Registrar webpage. Email is the most efficient mode of communication.

  • Career Development ( is offering half hour phone or virtual appointments during these hours.

  • The Butler Center is closed.
  • The Bookstore is closed.   
  • The Catherine G. Murphy Gallery's physical space will be closed, but upcoming exhibitions will move online and be available at the Gallery website
