why St. Kate's?

Hannah initially visited St. Kate’s when she was in junior high, for a summer camp on campus. “When it came time for college, I knew I wanted to be in the Twin Cites and St. Kate’s felt like the perfect fit for me.”

deciding on an area of study

I was undecided for a short time then took one Communication Studies class and fell in love. My St. Kate’s classes are fascinating, and the faculty are amazing.

building experience

Hannah is applying the skills she’s learned in the classroom into her internship with Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota, where she works in advertisement review and industry research.

She also works in St. Kate’s Academic Resource Center and is also involved in different student clubs. Hannah is an Orientation Leader who mentors incoming first-year students and co-president of St. Kate’s Food Justice Coalition.

“When I joined that club we focused a lot on helping the campus community understand the composting in the dining room. In the last year, we have shifted our focus to starting a new community garden on campus. We're excited to see this project grow and be a symbol of community.”

advice for students

Do as much as you can to get involved and be a part of the community!
