Core Team Lead, Seagate Technology
Going back for a bachelor’s degree in the College for Adults was an opportunity for Angie to fulfill a lifelong dream. Earning her master’s four years later was icing on the cake! “Yes, I had to get back into the habit of studying and attending class again. But once I did, it was very rewarding.”
Every business course at St. Kate's includes an ethics component, and Angie particularly enjoyed how students were taught to solve ethical dilemmas. “That surprised me because it wasn’t a factor in my decision to choose this University. Those ethical components spoke to who I am as a person and made me see that’s what I wanted to get out of my advanced education.”
Angie was a marketing management advisor working with IBM, Western Digital and QLogic when she arrived at St. Kate’s. Today, she’s a team leader at Seagate — and is forever grateful to Professor Mary Henderson for encouraging her to pursue senior leadership positions!
Pay attention to those around you. “I learned a lot from my professors, as well as my classmates. Each one of us brought a different perspective and magnitude of experience to the table.”
