St. Catherine University Professional Licensure Disclosures

Degree programs at St. Catherine University that are intended to result in professional licensure and certification are designed to meet the educational requirements for the state of Minnesota.

Per the U.S. Department of Education regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we are obligated to disclose whether or not St. Kate’s programs will meet the educational requirements for professional licensure or certification in any of the US states or territories. The information below reflects, to the best of our knowledge, accurate information about each of our licensing programs.

We encourage students who may live out-of-state or intend to test or apply for licensure or certification outside of Minnesota to: (1) share this with college representatives and program officials, and (2) review the state educational requirements on the relevant licensing body’s website. St. Catherine University will work collaboratively to ensure that all students stay apprised and informed regarding educational requirements for licensing eligibility wherever they may live.

Associate Degrees

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements for professional licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in all 50 states. This determination was informed by a review of state licensing requirements and information from the American Occupational Therapy Association. This information is accurate as of July 1, 2020.

Physical Therapist Assistant

Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements for professional licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in all 50 states. This determination was informed by a review of state licensing requirements and information from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. This information is accurate as of July 1, 2020.

Radiography

Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements for becoming credentialed as a Radiographer in all 50 states. This determination was informed by a review of information from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. This information is accurate as of July 1, 2020.

Additionally, Minnesota does not participate in the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact. This information is accurate as of February 11, 2021.

Dietetics

Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we have determined that our curriculum does not meet educational requirements for professional licensure as a dietician in any state. This information is accurate as of July 1, 2020.

Radiation Therapy

Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements for becoming credentialed as a Radiation Therapist in all 50 states. Respiratory Care

Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements to seek credentialing as a Certified and/or Registered Respiratory Therapist in all 50 states. This determination was informed by information from the American Association for Respiratory Care. This information is accurate as of July 1, 2020.

Social Work

The Bachelors of Social Work course of study is intended to meet the educational requirements to become a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Minnesota. Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements for professional licensure in Minnesota. We have not made a determination for all remaining states in this regard. This information is accurate as of July 1, 2020.

Sonography

Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements for becoming credentialed or licensed as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in all 50 states. Students are also prepared to seek specialties in abdomen and OB/GYN. This determination was informed by a review of information from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. This information is accurate as of July 1, 2020.

*St. Catherine University's Community Health Worker certificate program conforms to the CHW curriculum adopted by the state of Minnesota. Though not a license, per se, the CHW credential is a pre-condition for Medicaid-eligible CHW employers to seek Medical Assistance reimbursement for authorized services performed by a CHW.
