VaLinda Pearson



I have been a member of the St Catherine University faculty since January 2000. Since that time, I have taught in the Associate Degree Nursing Program, the Master's degree nurse education option and the Master's degree prelicensure nursing option. My clinical practice areas of teaching include fundamentals of nursing, medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics and pharmacology. I have also taught evaluation and measurement content in the nurse educator concentration.

Prior to coming to St Kate's, I was a public health nurse in an urban community, practiced as a staff nurse in acute medical-surgical nursing with a focus on adult and pediatric rehabilitation nursing and neuro-surgical nursing. In addition, I held middle-management positions as a head nurse, nurse manager and clinical director in rehabilitation for 20 years. I have also been a shift supervisor and Director of Nursing in the long term care environment.
