I have been a member of the St. Catherine University nursing department since January 2015 and have been teaching in the master’s degree entry-level program. My teaching experience in the classroom and clinical settings includes maternity care, adult and pediatric medical/surgical nursing and leadership. I am interested in the use of different teaching strategies such as simulation and active learning.
My clinical nursing experience is in medical/surgical oncology, maternity care and neonatal intensive care in the acute care setting. I taught staff education classes, basic life support and associate degree nursing for several years before moving to St. Catherine University.
