Karen Loewenson

Assistant Professor

I have been a member of the St Catherine University faculty since 2010. I have taught in the baccalaureate degree nursing program and now teach in the master's degree entry-level nursing concentration. The focus areas of my classroom and clinical teaching include pediatrics, family health, community/public health, and leadership.

Prior to coming to St Kate's, I was a school nurse for St. Paul Public Schools and a staff nurse for a public health department children’s clinic. I maintain a casual staff nurse position on the neonatal intensive care unit at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital — a clinical practice area I have enjoyed for over 25 years.
