Drawing on more than 35 years as an ASL signer, interpreter, educator, researcher, and program administrator and evaluator, I bring a breadth and depth of experience in interpreting and interpreting education. I have a strong record of administrative leadership, original scholarship, and effective teaching.
My expertise encompasses experience and education in interpreting, applied linguistics, adult education, distance education approaches and technologies, curriculum design, and evaluation. I have a successful history of winning and managing national grants of high impact.
As a nationally certified interpreter, I am also a proficient ASL signer. In addition, I have a long-standing interest in and of participation on interpreter education review programs. Currently, I am the Director of the Teaching Interpreter Educators and Mentors (TIEM) Center.
