how will I study?

St. Catherine’s 33-credit* School Library Media Specialist license program can be completed in two years. Courses meet on our St. Paul campus on an evening/weekend schedule, and combine online and face-to-face instruction in a hybrid learning format. Student teaching requirements are completed during the weekdays.

You’ll learn the principles of librarianship in general, and service to children and young adults in particular. Developmental psychology of the child, pre-adolescent and adolescent is woven into the literature courses.
