In our hybrid (on-campus and online) graduate certificate in organizational leadership program, you will gain business competencies and ground your leadership in collaboration, interpersonal connections and a holistic view of personal and professional growth. A Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership degree is also available.

what can I do with a certificate in Organizational Leadership?

Professionals use what they’ve learned in our certificate programs to lead and influence in business, nonprofit, government and other organizations. Graduate certificate options are available in the following areas:

St. Catherine also offers a custom certificate option to meet the leadership needs of organizations. The University designs a customized, three-course leadership development program with partner organizations, and classes are held "on site" for cohorts of employees of these organizations.

how will I study?

St. Catherine’s certificates in organizational leadership provide a focused approach to advanced leadership education and consist of 15-18 credits, depending on the area of concentration. Courses meet on an evening/weekend schedule, and combine online and face-to-face instruction in a hybrid learning format. Classes meet on our St. Paul campus.

Learning is hands-on and pragmatic, and you will apply new knowledge immediately to your career and your life. You’ll deepen your skills for critical analysis, leadership, decision-making and communication, guided by accomplished faculty and enhanced by fellow students from many fields who share their substantial experience. The variety of perspectives in our small, discussion-based classes vastly enhances the education you receive. Fellow students become friends, collaborators, and members of your professional network.

The organizational leadership certificates are offered within the Graduate College through the School of Business.


Tuition and Financial Aid

In the 2018-19 academic year, the tuition rate for the organizational leadership certificates is $915 per credit. Tuition rates are subject to change annually on June 1. Additional costs for the program will include fees for student services and technology, books, etc.

Many graduate students are eligible for financial aid, usually in the form of student loans. Another potential source of funding is tuition benefits from current employers.

In addition, St. Catherine’s organizational leadership certificate students employed by one of our corporate partners may be eligible to receive a special corporate partner scholarship, reducing tuition costs by 10%.
