St. Catherine’s graduate certificates for licensed educators will help you turn your passion for teaching into teaching excellence, making an impact on your classroom and your career. You’ll join a community of learners who inspire and support one another, and learn from faculty who offer fresh insights and digital instructional strategies that will enhance your learning experience.
St. Catherine offers certificates in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Technology Integration. Both areas of focus are also available as concentrations in our Master of Arts in Education program.
St. Catherine’s STEM and Technology Integration certificates help you stand out among your peers in the field of education, within your district and the broader educational community.
In the STEM certificate, you’ll pursue courses in different focus areas that will develop your confidence, competence and comfort with leading your students as they develop STEM fluency. These STEM courses will make your classes more engaging and fuel your students' success with post-secondary and career options that will shape the world.
In the Technology Integration certificate, you will develop the skills to support creative, hands-on learning that better reflects today’s dynamic and collaborative work environments. You’ll improve your use of available digital tools for instruction, assessment and communication activities while expanding your capacity to meet diverse student needs in a digital learning environment.
St. Catherine’s 12-credit education certificates may be completed in 2-3 terms (7-9 months), depending on course selection. After a kick-off event* on our St. Paul, MN campus, students complete their courses in online and hybrid (campus meetings combined with online learning) formats.
Our graduate curriculum reflects today's digital realities, and faculty provide in-depth formative feedback throughout the program. Our certificate courses guide you through the creation of interdisciplinary lessons and teach you to maximize the potential of the technology you have available in your classroom to meaningfully engage your students. You’ll improve your skills to work more efficiently in multidisciplinary teams, advocate effectively for your students, and implement reflective teaching practices that ensure ongoing improvements.
*the Friday evening/Saturday kick-off event will be held on a weekend prior to the start of classes
At St. Catherine University, you will grow as a leader who engages with intention, acts with justice and serves with compassion. You will build personal relationships with faculty and students alike, while you become immersed in active and collaborative methods of learning.
